Text Label Component
The text label is the most commonly used component. It can display the value, status or engineering units of a point. It may be used without a point attached to display titles or informational text, and may also be used as a link to other screens or even web sites. Text Tab
Text
Text is the text to display. HTML tags are allowed such as <B> and </B> to turn bold on and off. To display an actual '<' or '>', use < or > See HTML Help for more information.
Several codes are available to embed point information in the text label. For example, the text "Temperature = @V" will display as "Temperature = 74.3". The text "The @L is @V (@U)" will display as "The Outdoor Temperature is 81.4 (Deg.F)". The available codes are:
Text Size
This is the size of the text, in pixels, before any scaling of the screen.
Text Color
This is the color the text.
Advanced Colors...
Click this button to access the Advanced Color options. These options allow different colors, transparencies and flashing text, based on the point value.
Alignment
This option is used to align the text horizontally within the component. The choices are left, center or right.
Background Tab
Background Color
This is the color of the background area behind the text.
Background Alpha
This is the "Alpha" or transparency of the background area behind the text. Zero is fully transparent, 1 is fully opaque.
Border Tab
Border Color
This is the color of the solid border surrounding the text.
Border Size
This is the size of the solid border surrounding the text. Set this to zero for no border.
Link Tab
Screen/URL
A screen or web page to display when this label is clicked. If left blank and the label has a point attached, the point info/modify screen will be shown.
To set the link, drag an item from the tree and drop it on the link edit area. To link to a web page, type or paste (Ctrl-V) the address in the edit area. ![]() ![]() Underline Text
Selecting this option will underline the text so it looks like a link on a web page.
